Kaspersky has partnered with KidZania Dubai to launch a new Cybersecurity Center at Dubai Mall, aimed at educating children about online safety through interactive role-play experiences.
The initiative introduces a first-of-its-kind learning environment where children can step into the role of cyber investigators, solving digital security challenges while learning how to identify and respond to cyberthreats. Through simulations, missions, and interactive activities, the center is designed to build cybersecurity awareness and encourage responsible online behavior from an early age.
The launch comes as children are engaging with digital technologies earlier than ever before, increasing the importance of cybersecurity education for families. According to a survey cited by Kaspersky, 89% of parents in the UAE see their children pursuing careers in information technology, making IT one of the most desired future professions among families in the region.
“Education plays a vital role in shaping how children understand and interact with the digital world. It is crucial that we equip the younger generation with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate it safely.”
– Andrey Sidenko, Cyber Literacy Projects Lead at Kaspersky
Andrey Sidenko, Cyber Literacy Projects Lead at Kaspersky, emphasized the importance of preparing children to navigate the digital world safely and confidently. He noted that cybersecurity awareness is becoming a critical life skill as young users spend more time online.
The Cybersecurity Center allows children to take part in immersive exercises where they investigate online threats, analyze digital clues, and solve cybersecurity cases in a safe and engaging environment. The experience aims to develop critical thinking, digital awareness, and practical cyber hygiene skills.
Rashed Al Momani, General Manager for the Middle East at Kaspersky, said the collaboration with KidZania helps bring cybersecurity education closer to families in a practical and engaging way while promoting healthy digital habits.
The Dubai launch builds on Kaspersky’s global collaboration with KidZania, which previously introduced Cyber Investigation Centers in Mexico City and India. The company said the initiative aims to help create a digitally aware generation capable of understanding and responding to evolving cyber risks.
