Zoom Opens ISV Exchange to Channel Partners

Zoom

Zoom is widening the commercial reach of its technology ecosystem by making its ISV Exchange platform generally available through its channel partner network, giving resellers and distributors a larger role in packaging third-party applications with Zoom’s communications portfolio.

The move shifts ISV Exchange beyond Zoom’s direct sales motion and gives channel partners the ability to incorporate independent software vendor solutions into their existing Zoom offerings. The objective is not simply to add more applications, but to make Zoom a broader platform around which partners can build industry- and workflow-specific solutions.

“Customers want technology that works together around the way they do business. Our partners understand those needs firsthand, and ISV Exchange gives them more ways to bring the right solutions together for each customer, all under one contract.” — Andy Mazid, Global Lead, ISV Exchange, Zoom

Through ISV Exchange, software vendors can build, integrate and distribute applications on the Zoom platform. Channel partners can now offer these integrations alongside products such as Zoom Contact Center, Zoom Virtual Agent, Zoom Webinars and Zoom Team Chat.

For Zoom, the channel expansion also creates a new route to ecosystem-led growth. Partners gain additional opportunities to generate revenue by combining Zoom products with complementary applications, while customers get greater flexibility in how they extend their communications and collaboration environments.

The “single contract” proposition highlighted by Andy Mazid could also simplify procurement for customers that increasingly want integrated technology rather than a collection of disconnected point solutions. For channel partners, meanwhile, the model provides a way to move beyond product resale toward solution-led offerings.

The expansion comes as communications platforms increasingly compete on ecosystem breadth as much as on their core capabilities. By opening ISV Exchange to its partner network, Zoom is effectively positioning its channel community as an extension of its technology ecosystem—and a key route for turning integrations into customer-specific solutions.
