New PTZ, radar-fusion and explosion-protected cameras target complex urban and hazardous environments
Axis Communications showcased its next generation of intelligent, mission-critical security solutions at Intersec Dubai 2026, underlining its focus on precision detection, edge intelligence and safety-driven design for demanding real-world environments.
At this year’s exhibition, Axis is highlighting how continuous innovation across video, radar, analytics and cybersecurity is helping organisations move beyond traditional surveillance toward actionable, real-time insight. The company’s latest portfolio is designed to support smarter decision-making and safer operations across critical infrastructure, transportation, industrial sites and smart cities.
Among the key highlights is the AXIS Q6088-E PTZ Camera, the newest evolution of the Q60 Series. Built for large outdoor areas, the camera introduces Laser Focus technology, enabling fast, precise and repeatable focusing even when tracking fast-moving objects. With 4K resolution, 34x optical zoom, Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR, it delivers consistent performance in challenging lighting conditions. AI-powered analytics run directly on the edge via ARTPEC-9, while Axis Edge Vault ensures hardware-based cybersecurity.
Axis is also demonstrating a major advance in radar-video fusion by combining the AXIS D2123-VE Radar with the AXIS Q6358-LE PTZ Camera. This integrated solution delivers reliable 270° detection regardless of lighting or weather, with double-knock verification ensuring both radar and camera confirm threats before alarms are triggered. Radar-guided autotracking enables smooth, continuous monitoring, while simplified deployment through a single IP address makes the solution ideal for perimeter protection and critical infrastructure security.
For high-risk industrial environments, Axis previewed the upcoming AXIS X1100 Explosion-Protected PTZ Camera, certified for Zone 1 and Division 1 hazardous areas. Featuring 4K imaging, 31x optical zoom, and analytics for smoke, fire and PPE detection, the camera supports early risk identification in combustible environments. Its marine-grade stainless steel housing and wide operating temperature range make it suitable for extreme conditions.
Completing the showcase is the AXIS P1486-LE Global Shutter Camera, designed for traffic monitoring and enforcement. Global shutter technology ensures sharp, distortion-free images of fast-moving vehicles, supported by built-in IR illumination, AI analytics and robust outdoor design.
