Axis Communications has introduced the AXIS X1100 Explosion-Protected PTZ Camera, a certified solution designed for safe operations in some of the world’s most demanding industrial environments.
Certified under ATEX, IECEx, and NRTL (SGS) standards, the camera is built for Zone 1/Division 1 environments locations where explosive gases, vapours, or dust are present under normal operating conditions. Industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, mining, and offshore operations now have access to a surveillance tool engineered specifically to match their safety requirements.
At its core, the AXIS X1100 delivers 4K image clarity paired with 31x optical zoom, giving operators precise, long-range visibility across wide industrial sites. Built from marine-grade 316L stainless steel, the AXIS X1100 is engineered to withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -60°C to 60°C, making it suitable for Arctic to desert deployment. It supports both Ethernet and fibre (SFP) connectivity along with 110–230V power input, ensuring flexible integration across existing infrastructure.
Cybersecurity is addressed through Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based platform offering FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified secure key storage protecting the device against tampering and unauthorised access in connected industrial networks.
