OPSWAT, Redington Expand Critical Infrastructure Protection Across Emerging Markets

OPSWAT

OPSWAT and Redington have entered into a distribution partnership covering the GCC, Levant, Türkiye, Africa and the Commonwealth of Independent States, aiming to make specialised cybersecurity protection more accessible to organisations operating critical and highly segmented environments.

The agreement combines OPSWAT’s critical infrastructure protection portfolio with Redington’s regional sales, technical, logistics, warehousing and financing capabilities. The focus is on sectors including government, defence, banking, telecommunications, energy, utilities and other regulated industries.

“Critical infrastructure customers cannot wait for technology to clear borders, financing gaps or skills shortages. Redington brings resilience on all three fronts.”

— Hussam Sidani, Regional Vice President – META, OPSWAT

Initial priorities include OPSWAT’s MetaDefender Kiosk and MetaDefender Optical Diode, particularly for government, defence and OT environments. Redington’s local stockholding and logistics infrastructure are intended to help partners manage deployments despite varying procurement requirements and ongoing supply-chain pressures. Financing capabilities are also expected to support larger, multi-stage projects in frontier markets.

The partnership goes beyond product distribution. Channel partners will be able to combine OPSWAT’s capabilities for protecting files, removable media, segmented networks and OT environments with technologies across Redington’s wider portfolio, alongside implementation, assessment and professional services.

Managed services are another important component. Through Redington’s DigiGlass offering, partners can extend customer engagements into 24/7 security operations without having to build their own security operations infrastructure from the ground up.

“Critical infrastructure is becoming increasingly connected, making its protection more complex and more critical. As AI accelerates both innovation and the sophistication of emerging threats, partners need the right technologies, expertise and support to stay ahead.”

— Sayantan Dev, Chief Executive Officer, Software Solutions Group, Redington

The companies will initially prioritise Africa, Türkiye and CIS during the first 12 months, focusing on partner recruitment and certification, qualified pipeline development and early customer reference wins. OPSWAT will lead technical certification and enablement, while Redington will drive partner recruitment and channel logistics.

The partnership reflects a broader shift in critical infrastructure security, where technology alone is increasingly insufficient. Regional expertise, financing, supply-chain continuity and managed security capabilities are becoming equally important to turning specialised cybersecurity products into deployable resilience programmes.
