Westcon-Comstor has expanded the leadership responsibilities of Dorio Bowes, appointing him as MEA Alliance Lead while he continues in his existing role as Director of Comstor Southern Africa.
The expanded role will see Bowes take responsibility for strengthening strategic vendor relationships, improving alignment across markets and identifying new opportunities for partners and customers across the Middle East and Africa.
The appointment reflects Westcon-Comstor’s focus on creating greater regional alignment across its vendor and partner strategies while maintaining the local market expertise required to translate broader strategies into tangible business opportunities.
“Dorio has demonstrated an ability to bring together strategy, relationships and execution. He brings a combination of local experience and broader strategic thinking to this expanded regional role,” said Tidiane Lo, Vice President, Go-To-Market, Westcon-Comstor MEA.
Bowes has played a significant role in developing the Comstor business in Southern Africa, building relationships across the vendor and channel ecosystem, developing a high-performing team and expanding the company’s market presence.
As MEA Alliance Lead, he will work closely with strategic technology vendors to deepen engagement and align alliance priorities with opportunities emerging across individual markets. The role will also encourage greater collaboration between regional teams, enabling them to share expertise, identify common opportunities and replicate successful approaches.
“What excites me about this opportunity is the ability to connect strong local execution with a broader regional strategy,” said Dorio Bowes, Director, Comstor Southern Africa and MEA Alliance Lead at Westcon-Comstor. “Every market across MEA has its own dynamics, partner ecosystem and customer requirements. It is about getting closer to our alliances, understanding where the opportunities are and helping our teams and partners turn those opportunities into sustainable growth.”
Bowes will continue to lead Comstor Southern Africa alongside his expanded responsibilities, supporting Westcon-Comstor’s efforts to strengthen strategic alliances and drive sustainable channel growth across the region.
