Synology has introduced a comprehensive portfolio of AI-powered data management innovations at COMPUTEX 2026, highlighting advancements in its next-generation DiskStation Manager (DSM), enterprise backup solutions, surveillance systems, and private cloud offerings.

The centerpiece of the announcement is the next-generation DSM, designed to be both AI-ready and enterprise-ready. With support for GPU-enabled NAS and AI appliances, the platform enables full on-premises AI inference and governance, ensuring organizations maintain control over sensitive data. A new DSM Agent introduces intelligent automation, orchestrating workflows across systems, while enhanced enterprise capabilities such as Cluster Manager allow multiple systems to be managed under a unified interface. Features like workload migration, quality of service (QoS), and centralized protection aim to improve scalability and operational efficiency.

Synology also unveiled ActiveProtect Manager 2.0 (APM 2.0), extending data protection capabilities across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Proxmox, Nutanix AHV, and Google Workspace. With cross-platform recovery and AI-powered anomaly and malware detection, the solution strengthens resilience against cyber threats. The launch of the new DP5200 appliance further enhances deployment flexibility for enterprise customers.

“Data is at the heart of everything we build, and trust is the foundation… we develop every product to give users complete control over their data, backed by uncompromising security, reliability, and privacy,” said Philip Wong, Chairman and CEO of Synology.

In the security domain, Synology expanded its surveillance ecosystem with new access control solutions such as the AC100 door controller and AR Series readers, alongside DC Series dome cameras and upgraded Deep Video Analytics (DVA) appliances. These systems support advanced AI features like semantic event search and re-identification path tracking. Additionally, the Surveillance365 platform introduces video surveillance-as-a-service (VSaaS) capabilities, enabling unified hybrid cloud monitoring across distributed locations.

For workplace productivity, Synology enhanced its Office Suite with the addition of ChatPlus and Meet, delivering enterprise-grade communication tools integrated with AI-powered transcription and translation. These features allow organizations to improve collaboration while ensuring data remains securely stored on-premises.

Synology also addressed the growing demand for consumer-grade private cloud solutions with its expanded Bee Series ecosystem. New BeeStation and BeeStation Plus devices cater to varying storage needs, while BeeCamera offers home monitoring capabilities. Synology’s Deep Search feature adds AI-powered local search across devices, enabling users to find content instantly without compromising privacy.

Overall, Synology’s announcements reinforce its focus on delivering secure, AI-driven data management solutions that span enterprise, SMB, and consumer use cases. By combining AI, automation, and hybrid cloud capabilities, the company aims to empower users with greater control, scalability, and efficiency in managing modern data environments.
