New distribution agreement aims to help channel partners capitalize on growing demand for secure AI-driven software development and code governance
Westcon-Comstor has signed a multi-region distribution agreement with Sonar, expanding access to AI-powered code verification and governance solutions for channel partners across the Middle East and Africa (MEA), Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
The partnership comes as organizations increasingly adopt AI-assisted software development tools and agentic coding platforms, creating growing demand for technologies that can help maintain code quality, security, and governance. Through the agreement, Westcon-Comstor partners will gain access to SonarQube, Sonar’s flagship platform for automated code verification, enabling them to strengthen their DevSecOps offerings and help customers identify vulnerabilities, exposed secrets, and coding errors before software reaches production.
The move reflects a broader industry trend in which software security and AI governance are becoming strategic priorities. As AI-generated code becomes more common, enterprises are looking for ways to balance development speed with security, compliance, and operational resilience.

According to Sonar, organizations using SonarQube are 44% less likely to experience AI-generated production outages, while improved code quality can also contribute to lower AI token consumption and more efficient development workflows.
A key element of the partnership is Sonar’s Agent Centric Development Cycle (AC/DC) framework, which focuses on guiding AI agents with appropriate context, verifying outputs through automated feedback mechanisms, and resolving issues before they affect production environments. The approach is designed to help enterprises embed governance directly into AI-assisted development rather than treating security as an afterthought.
The agreement also expands opportunities for channel partners seeking to establish recurring revenue streams around AI security and software governance. Westcon-Comstor says partners will benefit from technical enablement, market intelligence, lead-generation support, and customer lifecycle services designed to accelerate adoption and business growth.
