Veteran Canon leader to drive innovation, connected print ecosystems and channel expansion across the region
Canon EMEA has appointed Peter Saak as the new Chief of its Integrated Printing & Services Group (IPSG), formerly known as Digital Printing & Solutions. Announced on 16 January 2026, the appointment marks a strategic step in Canon’s mission to create fully connected print and document management ecosystems for customers and partners across the region.
Peter Saak brings decades of leadership experience across Canon’s international operations. His previous roles include B2B Country Director for Canon Eurasia, Managing Director for Canon Central & Eastern Europe, and Canon Austria. Most recently, as Executive Vice President for the Developing Regions Business Group, he led market growth and strengthened Canon’s No.1 position across key B2B product segments in Southeast Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

In his new role, Saak will drive the integration of Canon’s advanced printing technologies with value‑added services to support customers seeking more efficient and automated workflows. His mandate includes accelerating innovation, enhancing partner channels, and expanding Canon’s footprint into new and emerging markets.
The appointment follows the transition of Hiro Imamura, former Executive Vice President of Digital Printing & Solutions, who has moved to Canon Inc. headquarters in Japan. During his five‑year tenure, Hiro played a key role in growing Canon’s market share in workspace printing and advancing its production print portfolio.
