AXIS Audio Manager Pro 4.8 Simplifies Scheduling and Expands Public Address Possibilities

New features bring visual communication, live paging, and IoT integration to large-scale audio systems

Axis Communications has unveiled version 4.8 of its advanced audio management software, AXIS Audio Manager Pro, introducing powerful new capabilities for smarter, more flexible public address systems. Designed for large-scale IP audio installations, the software now supports up to 5,000 speakers and 100 zones, with enhanced scheduling, live paging, and multimodal communication features.

The standout upgrade is a redesigned scheduler that streamlines audio planning in dynamic environments like schools and industrial facilities. Administrators can create flexible day templates and apply them across calendars, saving time and reducing errors.

“We’re making audio smarter, more flexible, and more responsive to real-world needs.”

Version 4.8 also supports visual communication features in Axis’s latest speaker models, allowing users to pair audio with strobes and text displays. This is especially useful in noisy or high-risk environments, where visual cues can reinforce urgent messages.

Live paging has been reimagined with a web-based interface that lets users broadcast messages using built-in microphones or trigger pre-recorded clips with a click. Two-way audio with individual speakers is also supported, offering a modern alternative to traditional paging consoles.

Additional IT enhancements include a system audit and event log for improved cybersecurity and accountability, and a new API builder that simplifies IoT integrations. Users can now trigger high-priority audio clips from video systems or physical devices like the AXIS C6110 Paging Console.

With unlimited licenses and compatibility with virtual machines, AXIS Audio Manager Pro 4.8 is built for scalability, flexibility, and control—bringing the future of audio communication to today’s connected environments.
